Trailer for Iran movie ‘Azar’ published before Fajr

The first trailer belonging to Iranian director Mohammad Hamzei’s ‘Azar’ has been released before Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Produced by Niki Karimi, the movie is at the technical stage and will be present in the competition section of Fajr Film Festival.

Noted Iranian musician Karen Homayounfar has recently started composing music for the film.

‘Azar’ is Iranian star actress Niki Karimi’s second production after ‘Night Shift’. Karimi has directed three other movies so far.

Niki Karimi, Hamidreza Azarang, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Hasti Mahdavi, Leila Zare, Maedeh Tahmasbi, Pejman Jamshidi and Houman Seyyedi are to appear in the movie.

Born in 1971, Karimi's interest in films and literature inspired her to become an actress at a very young age.

She has starred in many Iranian films and series and won several awards at national and international film festivals.

Established in 1982, Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 35th Fajr Film Festival will be held in February 2017.
